1. Information we collect

None. MarkViz does not collect any user information.

All content you create (Markdown/HTML input, previews, mind maps, exports) is processed and stored entirely on your local device. The app maintains a local history for version restoration, which is stored solely on your device and can be cleared at any time.

We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, device identifiers, location data, usage analytics, or any other information.

2. How we use information

All data processing occurs locally on your device for the following purposes:

• Rendering your Markdown/HTML content in Preview mode
• Generating Mind Map visualizations from your content structure
• Creating PDF and image exports of your documents
• Maintaining version history for document restoration

We do not analyze, process, or use your content for any other purpose.

3. Data storage and retention

Local storage only: All your documents, settings, and history are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to or store your data on any remote servers.

User control: You have complete control over your data. You can delete individual documents, clear history, or remove all app data by uninstalling the app.

Exports: When you export to PDF or image formats, these files are saved to your device's file system in locations you specify. These exports remain under your control.

4. Data sharing

None. Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share.

MarkViz does not share, sell, or transmit any information to third parties. There are no advertising networks, analytics providers, cloud services, or any other third-party services integrated into the app.

Your documents remain completely private on your device and are never transmitted over any network.

5. Permissions and system access

MarkViz requests only one system permission:

• Photo library access: Required only when you choose to save exported images to your photo album. This permission is requested only when you initiate a save-to-photos action and is not used for any other purpose. We do not read, access, or collect any photos from your library.

We do not request access to camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other system resources.

6. Security

Since all data is processed and stored locally on your device, the security of your content depends on your device's security measures (passcode, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device secure with the latest security updates and using device encryption features.

7. Children's privacy

MarkViz does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and complies with applicable children's privacy laws.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via our website. Your continued use of MarkViz after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
